World Heritage - Quebrada de Humahuaca, ARGENTINA
The Quebrada de Humahuaca, a narrow and arid mountainous valley, is located in the Province of Jujuy, in the north-westernmost portion of the Republic of Argentina. Declared Unesco World Heritage in 2003 the valley suffers the disposal of waste in the absence of green politics, recycling and education of the people. Since decades the waste is dumped in the nature in places like dry rivers or excavated deposals without any safety precautions, causing serious problems for both health and nature.
