FOOTPRINTS

Wherever we go, we leave traces. Some are fleeting, others last for decades.
Shoes are both protection and movement for mankind. But when they have served their time, they often become a symbol of environmental pollution.
Their peeling surfaces and slowly disintegrating soles symbolise our ecological footprint and the long-term consequences of our consumption.

Embedded in landscapes that no longer support them, but endure them, they tell stories of paths that no one walks anymore.
